Alex Castrillo Creative Website Design & Development

by | Jun 23, 2025 | 0 comments

Interactive portfolio site for creative director Alex Castrillo, designed and built to elevate his brand and work.

Project Overview

I collaborated with creative director Alex Castrillo to bring his portfolio vision to life on WordPress. Alex provided design mockups and animation references, and I translated those into a live site by managing the build process, coordinating development, and implementing content updates.
Developer Gio Denegri handled the custom coding, while I led project management and continue to provide maintenance and content refreshes. One highlight: converting static presentations into animated sliders and videos to showcase Alex’s work in a more dynamic, engaging way.

My Role

Tools: WordPress, Keynote, Quicktime, HTML/CSS, jQuery

Responsibilities:

  • Project management & client communication
  • Developer coordination
  • Site build & content population
  • Multimedia conversion (slides to video)
  • Ongoing updates & optimizations

Behind the Scenes

Alex’s initial designs and motion references set the tone for a modern, cinematic experience. We worked collaboratively to translate those ideas into an interactive front-end that feels light but polished. Subtle parallax, timed transitions, and clean whitespace all contribute to the overall feel.
